Signed lower left and dated '13 for 1913. Perhaps the companion to two similar exhibited works completed the same year, a fantasy scene of male and female figures aboard a mythical ship at sunset.
Canvas measures 30 x 30, frame is 34 x 34 inches.
Very good original condition. Apparently untouched, the original slightly dry surface, slightly soiled, there are no issues of in-painting or touch-up; very, very minor craquelure and one extremely thin line of loss one inch long in conjunction with a craquelure line lower left quadrant, one 1/4-inch long bit of white residue lower right quadrant, very good to fine original condition overall.
