28: AN INTACT SOUTHWEST PERSIAN DOUBLE BAG CIRCA 1910
The Lori or Qashqai piled face with dark blue field having a central red lozenge medallion enclosing a hooked lozenge and diamond forms, cornered by octagonal red hooked medallions, within an ivory and red reciprocal trefoil border; the bag completed by flat woven horizontal banded reverse side panels.
Measures 39 x 23 inches.
Heavy wear at all four corners, breaks and rewrap to most sides, back side gouges along the bottom of each. One bag face has deep mothing to 15% of the surface area, the other has 5%. Otherwise good, no stain or other issues other than dry and dusty with surface debris.
