Special Feature

Handcrafted watch movementTwo handcrafted watch movements built from scratch by F.B. Roberts at the PARSON’S HOROLOGICAL INSTITUTE in the year 1894. These working timepieces demonstrate the graduate student’s ability to construct a working prototype complete with beautiful hand engraved script and damascene decoration. Each one of these is signed by the maker and dated 1894. The larger of the two (4 x 2.25 inches) is also engraved “Made at Parson’s Horological Inst,.” The original school diploma is Handcrafted watch movementincluded. Parson’s Horological Institute eventually became Bradley University in Peoria Illinois.

To find even one of these highly detailed works is very rare. To find two by the same maker along with his watchmaker’s diploma is unbelievable! These are true museum quality pieces.
