10: AN 18TH C. FRENCH LOUIS XV STYLE WALNUT FOOT STOOL

The square top with subtle swale and beaded edge flattened over each leg, the rails centered by a stylized cartouche between gilt crosshatching, each carved cabriole leg is raised on a small hoof foot and joined by curvilinear stretchers.
Measures 18.5 x 23 x 20 inches.
Very good original condition, noting chipping to some relief carvings, no other damage or repair, sturdy and odor free.
Provenance: The multi-generation collection of an early Kansas City family in the same home since 1962.
