31: MERCURY AFTER GIAMBOLOGNA STAMPED BARBEDIENNE FONDEU

Mercury (Late 19th/Early 20th Century.)
The fine quality bronze in rich brown patina after the work by Italian sculptor Giambologna (1529-1608) bearing the impressed lettering of F. Barbedienne Fondeur and the circular seal 'Reduction Mécanique, A. Collas Brevete'; raised on a polished slate plinth with bronze pad.
Measures 33.5 x 11 x 8 inches.
Very good original condition throughout (noting very minor corner roughness to the slate portion), no damage, repair or heavy wear.
