16: A HIGHLY FIGURED AND HANDSOMELY PATINATED BURL BOWL

The fine large example with broad flat base and high rounded sides to thick rounded rim, dark warm caramel brown patina; a similarly figured paddle with interesting grooved handle and rounded overall form, identical patina, circa late 18th to early 19th century.
Measures 5.25 x 12.75 and 9.5 x 5 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or heavy wear.
