9: WWII PROPAGANDA POSTER AFTER THOMAS HART BENTON

The unframed original period poster after one of eight paintings created by Benton as an expression of his opinion (not uncommon) of the Axis powers, and as an effort to do his part in mobilizing American society for the war effort. The paintings were donated to the Missouri Historical Society where they currently reside.
Measures 20.75 x 23.25 inches.
Very good condition noting a chipped corner upper left, tape residue on the upper margin.
