12: A RARE PAIR OF 18TH CENTURY ITALIAN DRUM FORM COMMODES

The circular tops overhanging the conforming case with three drawers, strung with boxwood on top, sides and drawer fronts, turned bone pulls, the whole raised on three tapered legs with block sabot foot, probably North Italian, Lombardy.
Each measures 27.5 x 13 x 13 inches.
Good condition, noting one lost pull, sizeable age splits, scattered losses, wear, old repairs, unevenness, no actual damage.
Provenance: The multi-generation collection of an early Kansas City family in the same home since 1962.
