17: A LATE 19TH CENTURY TURKOMAN TEKKE ENSI

The brick red weaving with quartered field, each reserve enclosing rows of conjoined bird's heads supporting a central horizontal band enclosing continuous stepped medallions within a pointed arch, a brick red border enclosing blue and ivory chevron leaves with serrated and hooked lozenges, above a broad brick red band enclosing rows of similar motifs, a brown end band enclosing offset rows of red and blue lozenges.
Measures 66 x 51 inches.
Very good condition, slightly lower on one end, intact original sides and ends, good even pile, no pet stain, odor or hardened areas, dry and dusty with surface debris.
