160a: AN 18TH/19TH C. EMBROIDERED PANEL WITH MONSTRANCE

The floral wreath of highly embroidered roses and greenery enclose a central multi-rayed monstrance upon clouds in thick, nicely patinated silver and bronze thread embroidery embellished with seed pearls and fish scale sequins, executed on white grosgrain material.
Measures 29 x 23 inches.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, stain, repair or heavy wear.
Provenance: The multi-generation collection of an early Kansas City family in the same home since 1962.
