80: A RARE DODGE CITY ICE CREAM TRAY ILLUSTRATED BY COFFIN

The rare circular ice cream tray picturing a young lady wearing 1930s hair style serving an ice cream sundae advertises DODGE CITY'S PEERLESS ICE CREAM and the Dodge City Ice Cream and Produce Co, Dodge City, Kans. The image is based on an illustration by the American painter and illustrator Haskell Coffin (1878-1941), His illustrations promote other soda fountain products like Hires Root Beer, grace the covers of magazines like The Saturday Evening Post, and were commissioned for patriotic posters during World War One.
Measures 13 inches.
Very fine shiny condition, noting just a few areas of wear, rubs and a few light scratches on the top edge of the rim.
