The apple form container with hinged upper half with wood stem opening to reveal the lock and the lining referred to as 'tea pewter' in the period, the exterior with brass escutcheon.
Apple measures 5 inches. The cake of tea, 9.25 x 7.5 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair.
