523: AMERICAN LADDER AND BANNISTER BACK CHAIRS

The late 18th and early 19th century side chairs include a ladder back chair with good original splint seat and an interesting surface of old red paint melded with patina.
Measures 37.5 x 19.5 x 15 and 40 x 20 x 14.5 inches.
The ladder back chair is very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair with the exception of very minor loss from one edge of the splint seat. The Bannister back chair has a repair to the crest rail.
