The classic California School landscape signed by the artist in aubergine pigment lower right expands on the natural beauty of a passageway and stream leading to distant foothills though the use of pleasing colors and brushwork and is titled Eucalypti in pencil on the stretcher verso. The canvas is displayed in a hand carved frame of exceptional quality.
Canvas measures 24 x 20 with a framed size of 32.5 x 28.25 inches.
Very good condition. There are no issues of major scratches, losses, repairs, in-painting or touch-up with the exception of a 2-inch by 3/16 inch line of inpainting in the sky near the very center of the composition. No other issues of any type.
