The lithograph from an edition of 250 prints published by Associated American Artists is signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower left. Fath number 8.

In Fath, Benton comments that the impetus was a, 'Drawing made in 1934 showing Tugwell's program in operation.'

Under the New Deal's Agricultural Adjustment Administration during the Great Depression, spring crops were at one point, ploughed under in an attempt to stabilize prices.
Image measures 8 x 13.25 with a framed size of 16.5 x 21.5 inches.
Very good condition, the full untrimmed sheet, not laid down, no damage, stain, puncture or repair; framed to archival standards in acid free mounts. There is a very, pale outline from a previous mat.
