225: BYXBE AND SEWARD PENCIL SIGNED DRYPOINT ETCHINGS
1. Coy Avon (C.A.) Seward (1884-1939), Explorers. The drypoint etching signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower right is titled lower left.
2. Lyman Byxbe (1886-1980) Dream Lake (1944). The drypoint etching is signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower right and titled lower left, Crump number 345, edition of 27.
Explorers image measures 4.75 x 3.75 with a framed size of 9.75 x 8.5 inches. Dream Lake image measures 9 x 7.25 with a framed size of 18.25 x 15.25 inches.
Good framed conditions, no visible damage, repair, punctures or tears, visible toning and presumably some mat burn. These works have not been examined outside the frames and mats which appear to be 40-plus years old.
