160: MARY HUNTOON (1896-1970) PENCIL SIGNED ETCHING

The rare, early pencil signed drypoint etching signed by the artist lower right is titled under the image on the lower left, just below the artist's signature in the plate, and numbered 12 from an edition of only 30 prints. An additional inscription designates the print as 2nd St (second state). It is estimated that a total of only 15 prints were actually pulled. Numerals in graphite to the right of the artist's pencil signature, now largely erased, appear to have included the date 1927.

Mary Huntoon was a pioneer in the study of art therapy.
Image measures 3 x 5 with a framed size of 19.5 x 23.25 inches.
Apparently the condition is very good, very clean, intact, no visible stain (excepting minor printer's smudges), damage, repair, punctures or tears. This work has not been examined outside the frame.
