A suite of four original watercolor studies painted by Wilson while on a sketching trip with James Taylor Forrest, Director of the Gilcrease Institute of American History and Art in 1958. The subject sites include:.

1. The Murrell Home in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

2. Cherokee Female Seminary Columns at Park Hill, Oklahoma.

3. Cherokee National Capitol at Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

4. Golda's Old Mill at Bitting Springs.

Each unframed work is signed and dated with comments on the locale.

An image of Charles Banks Wilson, Thomas Hart Benton and James Taylor Forrest in 1958 is posted as a matter of interest.
Each study has sheet size dimensions of approximately 8 x 10 inches.
Very good original condition, never framed, no issues of damage, trimming or repair.
Provenance: James Taylor Forrest family by descent.
