The Modernist boat form design with upturned ends and stylized organic forms is raised on simple C-shape feet with beading, the base stamped P. Lopez Made in Mexico, 925, circa 1950.
Measures 3.5 x 13.25 x 6 inches. Weighs 17.50 ozt.
Very good condition throughout, no damage, dings repair or heavy wear. There are no monograms.
Provenance: The estate of Morton and Estelle Sosland.In Kansas City, the Sosland family name is synonymous with both giving, and the arts. Of their many contributions to the community, 'The Soslands gave one of the nation's finest private collections of American Indian art to the Nelson-Atkins' museum (nelson-atkins.org).
