The Meiji Period (1867-1912) pottery vase with impressed and painted base markings is drilled through the base.
Measures 22 x 13.5 inches.
Good condition, noting the base has been drilled and a crack at the rim.
Provenance: The estate of Morton and Estelle Sosland.In Kansas City, the Sosland family name is synonymous with both giving, and the arts. Of their many contributions to the community, 'The Soslands gave one of the nation's finest private collections of American Indian art to the Nelson-Atkins' museum (nelson-atkins.org).
