The early 20th century large format photogravure image printed by John Andrew & Son on cream wove paper is numbered plate plate 276 from the portfolio The North American Indian, volume 8, The Nez Perces. Wallawalla.
Image measures 11.75 x 15.25, the frame is 18.5 x 23 inches.
Apparently the condition is very good, very clean, intact, no visible stain, damage, repair, punctures or tears. This work has not been examined outside the frame.
Provenance: The estate of Morton and Estelle Sosland.In Kansas City, the Sosland family name is synonymous with both giving, and the arts. Of their many contributions to the community, 'The Soslands gave one of the nation's finest private collections of American Indian art to the Nelson-Atkins' museum (nelson-atkins.org).
