287: RAPHAEL SOYER AND BOARDMAN ROBINSON WORKS ON PAPER

Raphael Soyer (1899-1987) & Boardman Michael Robinson (1876-1952)
Study for Bathers and Negro Girl (1942)
1. The pen and ink drawing with watercolor is signed Raphael Soyer in pencil lower left and titled verso by a gallery label.

2. The en grisaille work on illustration board incorporating watercolor and gouache is signed Boardman Robinson lower right and dated 1942. A label inside the mount from Kraushaar Galleries provides the title.
Soyer - image measures approximately 15 x 10, the frame is 20.5 x 16.5 inches. Robinson - sight size 14 x 9.5, the frame measures 23.25 x 17.75 inches.
Apparently the condition is very good noting some light toning. Very clean, intact, no visible stain, damage, repair, punctures or tears. These works have not been examined outside of the frames.
