Two Northwest Coast Native American theme works:.

1.A colored photogravure after E.S. Curtis, A Nakoaktok Mawihl, circa 1915.

2. An original watercolor on paper depicting a Kwak'wanigaml (Heron headdress) signed Chaw Minh Le 1977.
Watercolor measures 6.5 x 6, the frame is 16.75 x 13.5 inches.
Very good condition, noting some dings and scratches on the metal frame, plus soft, mild creases upper margin shallow puncture lower margin of the Curtis piece.
Provenance: The estate of Morton and Estelle Sosland.In Kansas City, the Sosland family name is synonymous with both giving, and the arts. Of their many contributions to the community, 'The Soslands gave one of the nation's finest private collections of American Indian art to the Nelson-Atkins' museum (nelson-atkins.org).
