The salt glazed stoneware jug with sloping shoulders and etched decoration of eagle with banner and swans on water is washed in cobalt blue slip along with the numeral 2. There are no other markings, the work is attributed to H. Ricker & Sons of South Poland, ME.
Measures 18.5 x 8 inches.
Red paint residue visible on top rim, chips on top rim, hairline cracks that extend from base, and blue paint residue on body.
