29: AN EARLY 19C TIGER MAPLE LONG RIFLE WITH MASLIN LOCK

The 'Kentucky Rifle' with full tiger maple stock is engraved 'Warranted' and 'M.M. Maslin' on the box lock for Michael M. Maslin, a gunsmith who worked in Baltimore and Philadelphia circa 1822-1847 on the lock.
Measures 59 inches in length.
Good condition, noting the effects of age and use, minor common stock splits, darkened and lightly pitted metal surfaces, mechanism in working order.
