A brochure included with this painting reads in part, 'Wallace Bassford, native of St. Louis, Missouri, received his early appreciation and guidance in the arts through such great teachers as Hoke, Von Schlegel, Carpenter and Wuerpel at the Washington University art department in St. Louis and then later in the inspirational atmosphere of Provincetown on Cape Cod.' It also details exhibitions, reviews and other information about the artist, including the numerous collections where his works are held.
Canvas measures 30 x 24 with a framed size of 37.5 x 31.5 inches.
