383: HERSCHEL LOGAN (1901-1987) WOODBLOCK IN TRAMP ART FRAME

Herschel C. Logan (1901-1987)
Sorghum Mill (Circa 1938)
The woodblock print from 1938 is signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower right and titled lower left.

Jack and Georgia Olsen, founders of American Legacy Gallery in Kansas City, began pairing great American prints with American tramp art frames back in the 1980s. This is almost certainly one of their pairings. The two mediums go together nicely.
Image measures 5 x 7 with a framed size of 12 x 14.25 inches.
Apparently the condition is very good, very clean, intact, no visible stain, damage, repair, punctures or tears. This work has not been examined outside the frame.
