730: A FINE VICTORIAN CRANBERRY GLASS SWEETMEAT STAND

The silver-plated frame with incised grapevine decoration and central handle holds two elaborate cranberry glass bowls having crystal applique at the rim and rigaree encircling the ribbed body. Each has a nicely polished pontil. Merriam Webster defines sweetmeat as, 'a food rich in sugar, an item of confectionery or sweet food.'
Measures 6.75 x 12.25 x 6.25 inches.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
