The screenprint in colors on Lenox rag paper is signed by the artist in pencil lower right and numbered 22/100 lower left.

Gene Davis, a former White House press correspondent turned artist full time in 1968, is well known for his experiments with various schools of abstract painting. He refers to himself as 'an abstractionist from the start' who had no formal training and never painted the model. He is best known for his rhythmic, colorful compositions of vertical stripes.
Image measures 32 x 38 with a framed size of 40 x 45.5 inches.
Apparently the condition is very good, very clean, intact, no visible stain, damage, repair, punctures or tears. This work has not been examined outside the frame.
