343: A 19TH C. AMERICAN SALT GLAZED BATTER JUG WITH BLUE

The unsigned batter jug with bail handle on stoneware pivot points each side of the bulbous body having Albany slip interior, cylindrical spout and lug finger hold. There are cobalt blue slip embellishments at the spout, ears and lug handle. The bail handle is a late addition.
Measures 8 x 10 inches.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs or areas of heavy wear.
