61: THE U.S. AUTOMATIC PENCIL SHARPENER PATENTED 1906-1908

The APSCO U.S. Automatic Pencil Sharpener Co. Chicago (previously New York), a black painted steel pencil sharpener with fine original paper labels, oil cup, wood base and pull-out drawer for shavings. The paper label lists patent dates of 1906 and 1908. The sharpening wheel and three blades work with the unique hand crank mechanism to hold and turn the pencil for sharpening. Measures 5.5 x 4.5 x 4.5 inches.
Light wear to the painted surfaces and graphics, very good working condition.
