Lot includes a small gimbaled dry face compass in wooden box, gimbal loose from side wall of box. Cardinal points on face, no manufacturer information, 3 inches in diameter, 3.5 x 5 x 5 inch box with beveled sliding lid, with written 'J. Bichard' on underside. Also another small gimbaled compass, wet face, gimbal secured, unhinged lid fixed with three hooks, 3 inch face, 3.25 x 4.5 x 4.5 inches overall. Also a British Mk. IX 1943-dated compass, Broad Arrow marked, dial swings freely and is accurate, 3 inches overall. A cased timer, 2 inches in diameter, and an Ansonia Sunwatch sundial with original booklet, handwritten 'St. Louis Set to 45' on the face, 3 x 2 inches.
