A pair of opera glasses enameled red with gold fleur-des-lis and brass mounts, mother-of-pearl eye pieces and coined edge focus adjustment, telescoping handle. Signed on each eye piece. A.S. Aloe was a manufacturer of medical, surgical and optical equipment listed as opticians beginning in 1860. Measures 6 x 4.5 inches.
Good original condition, the metal mounts toned and darkened, the optics are intact, there are no chips, scratches, cracks, wear or repairs to any portion.
