269: A BACCARAT CRYSTAL INKWELL WITH SECOND RECEPTACLE

A heavy crystal base in embossed whirling pattern typically attributed to Baccarat, the hinged cover fitted with a second hinged container, topped by a beveled glass lens, the upper hinged cover opens to a receptacle within the hollow ball shape top, and stamped lettering Bte S.G.D.G. 'Argent Fin'. The glass cover may have originally been reverse painted.
