208: A 19TH CENTURY FRENCH EMPIRE PIER TABLE

The rectangular composite fossil black marble top above a long blind frieze drawer centering a harp lyre flanked by griffins supported by gilt collared columns having foliate diaper pattered capitals and socles raised on a conforming plinth with columnar feet.
Measures 34 x 38.5 x 16 inches.
Very good condition noting scattered minor evidence of age and use in the form of edge wear, wood and thus veneer shrinkage, light marring along the base from wear and day-to-day activity, etc. There are no issues of actual damage, abuse or repair, intact and original.
