121: A PAIR 19TH CENTURY FRENCH EMPIRE SIDE CHAIRS

Arched crest with pierced handhold, over conforming padded barrel back, seat rail featuring applied gilt rosette flanked by foliate motifs terminating in anthemion, rising on gilt frog-thigh downsweeping legs ending in scrolling feet. Upholstered in Neoclassical-inspired pattern of laurel and red stripes on a cream ground.
Very good condition noting a split and repaired leg at the back of one, no other damage, repair, stain or excessive wear.
