67: A FINE 18TH C. FRENCH BUREAU PLAT MANNER OF KOCHLY

A very fine A Louis XVI French bureau plat, the gold stamped red leather-lined writing surface above three French-polished slide out writing surfaces with ormolu knobs, a central drawer flanked by two smaller drawers centered by elaborate ormolu escutcheons, opposing matching drawers opposite side, raised on fluted tapering legs with ormolu mounts.
Measures 31.5 x 76 x 37.5 inches.
Very good, sturdy, intact, no damage or repair, missing one small knob on false writing surface fronts opposite the primary side, very minor missing. lost cock beading from two writing surface frames, very good overall. The drawers are all original and none has major re-working though some have replacement slides, repair near the lock, possible lock replacement or small repair to the face.
