The flared rim and slightly waisted form with scrolling acanthus handle, the body engraved with festoon and C scrolls forming a cartouche in the French taste, pedestal raised on a circular foot, stamped markings inside the foot for the retailer DOWNING MOODY & CO Vicksburg, Mississippi circa 1854. No engraved dedication.
Measures 5.75 x 5.5 across the handle.
Minor crease ore repaired tear upper portion of the foot near the intersection with the bowl.
