A Chinese stone carving of a chimera or Pi-shih, the mythical animal striding forward with a square receptacle on its back, the jaws open and showing its teeth, the ears flat on the head, the long tail hanging between the haunches.
Measures 5 x 7.5 x 2 inches.
Good condition, free from chips, cracks, repairs.
