The domed oval cover with pineapple finial hinged to the conforming pleated oval body, angular spout, bright cut engraving of foliate designs interspersed with ovals draped by floral garlands, bottom band of rayed designs with florals, engraved family crest, hallmark for Peter and Ann Bateman, London, 1796.
Measures 7 x 11 inches.
Good noting considerable wear, minor creases, some minor separation at the hinge.
