A large harvest still life composition depicting a pumpkin and traditional 19th century American bent wood stave basket spilling ears of corn with each kernel depicted in the distinctive thick raised impasto technique unique to Alfred Montgomery, displayed in a nice period frame, probably the original. Signed lower left.
The work measures 20.5 x 28.5 inches.
Very good condition overall, noting a line in the artist's board running vertically top to bottom of the extreme left edge, minor touch-up associated with this thin line, a very minor touch-up to the pumpkin approximately 1/2 inch diameter. Very good condition overall free from any other damage or restoration.
