134: AN 18TH C BRITISH SCHOOL PORTRAIT OF A NOBLEWOMAN

A fine oil on canvas portrait after that of Godfrey Kneller (1846 - 1723), the three quarter view of a woman in 18th century style garb of silver satin dress and holding a blue sash or cloak, standing near a veranda wall with classical ewer, a castle in the distance under clouded sky at dusk or dawn, displayed in a good 18th century frame with black molding and gilded plaster liner and edge.
Measures 49.75 x 40 inches, 47.5 x 57 inch frame.
Very good, lined, restored, a scuff near the figures neck, otherwise good.
