72: JAMES CAGNEY AND MAE CLARK AUTOGRAPHS AND PHOTO

The clipped signatures of James Cagney and Mae Clark matted and framed with an image of the two Hollywood actors in a scene known as 'The Grapefruit Scene' from the 1931 movie The Public Enemy."HELP!! I was the successful bidder this evening for lot #8984, the Charles Dickens photograph/autograph for $550 (plus buyer's premium). The bid for lot #8967 (James Cagney/Mae Clark photo/autographs) was in error. I was logging back on the website on my iPad and the screen went momentarily dark. I thought I was reactivating the bidding platform and instead, a bid was registered. I have no idea how it happened as I did not touch the "Bid" field. Maybe I accidentally touched the online lot photo (?), but I don't know if this would cause a bid to be placed. In any event, it was an accident for which I apologize."
