22: A VERY LARGE PRIMITIVE 19th C HAND HEWN TRENCHER BOWL

A very large 19th century wood trencher bowl with flared ends, buttress feet, nice dark patina, areas of polished surface from handling, sheet metal added at the gripping points.
Measures 7.25 x 36 x 18.5 inches.
Good condition as shown, noting a chip at the rim on one end. The normal effects of age and use are very evident, there are no other issues of actual damage or repair.
