73: CIRCLE OF CASPAR NETSCHER, OIL ON PANEL

(Circa 17th / 18th century.)
A servant girl polishing a brass vessel by the dim light of a fluid lamp, signed Netscher lower left, presumably a reference to Dutch painter Caspar Netscher (1639 - 1684) and thought to be by an artist of the period who was influenced by Netscher's paintings. Very good ripple frame of the period.
Provenance: The Sam & Rie Bloomfield Foundation Collection bequest to a Kansas University.
Measures 14.5 x 11 inches, 25.75 x 22 inches overall.
Very good condition, no visible damage or repair, no sign of in-painting or restoration under UV light.
