5321: AN HERMES 'TORANA' SILK SCARF WITH BOX

Vintage Hermes Scarf 'Torana' designed by long time Hermes designer, Annie Faivre. First issued in 1987. Depicting an array of toranas, an Indian gateway, usually made of stone marking the entrance to a Buddhist shrine or stupa or a Hindu temple, on a turquoise (?) ground with a Bordeaux border. This design was reissued in 1990-1991 and again in 2000-2001. Hand rolled edges. Together with an orange Hermes box.
Measures 35 inches.
