6: A VICTORIAN GLOBE DE MARIEE WEDDING DOME

An exceptional example with more than ornamentation than is usually found, including gilt birds, floral and foliate flourishes throughout, shamrocks, water lilies, unusual painted tripartite mirror with birds and butterflies. all issuing from a velvet cushion with wax berry tiara. Brides in France and Belgium received these at the start of their marriage and slowly filled them with keepsakes through the years. No two are ever the same. Highly collected, and a rare find in good condition.
Measures 17 x 10 x 5.25 inches, 21 x 15 x 7.5 inches overall.
