9: PARCEL GILT AND PATINATED BRONZE EMPIRE CANDELABRA

The patinated figural standard modeled as a kneeling Nubian man in a draping cloth kneeling on a cylindrical plinth and holding aloft a two arm light with crisply detailed pierced flowering and foliate arms issuing blossoming scrolling stems and two candle cups wired for electric lights, raised on a circular base with with circular palmette collar. Circa late 19th century, mounted to a later wood base and wired for electricity.
Measures 22.25 x 12 inches.
Both sockets functional, good cosmetic condition, noting some loss of black paint on the round wood base. The bronze two-arm candelabra has been mounted to a later wood base and wired for electricity.
