43: FRENCH BRONZE AND HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN CLOCK SET

A fine French clock signed Marti et Cie; the circular white enameled dial with black Roman numeral chapter ring encircled by gilt vinery and polychromed swags of flowers enclosing reticulated gilt hour and minute hands above twin key escapements within a hinged glazed door and conforming beaded bezel mounted in a shaped rectangular case with porcelain insert completely hand painted without decal or transfer, scene of a courting couple within a bucolic landscape, the whole with cast foliate mounts and raised on acanthus headed monopodia hoof feet. Together with two-light candelabra surmounted by an acanthus bud finial on hand painted porcelain pear-form pedestal issuing two S-scrolled gilt arms terminating in flat bobeches and berried foliate candle cups, on a socle raised animal monapodie hooved feet.
Clock measures 13.5 x 7.75 x 5 inches, Candelabra measure 13.5 x 8.25 inches.
Very fine condition, no damage wear or cosmetic repair, intact movement, winds, runs and chimes, good running condition at the time of inspection. We cannot guarantee the running condition of clocks once removed from the auction gallery.
