230: A LARGE FOUR ARM POSEIDON FIGURAL BRONZE SCONCE

The palmette-mounted back plate with foliate pendant and addorsed dolphins with shell finial centering from a medallion an elegant acanthus draped scrolling branch which supports a Poseidon-like term issuing four acanthus-draped arms terminating in eagle heads, each beak clasping an electrified socket, profusely detailed throughout. One repaired arm.
Measure 37 x 19 23 inches.
Incomplete wiring, one broken arm with crude and still loose arm.
